Lucian
Zagan
Lucian is a PhD student within the Logic and Language programme at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC), University of Amsterdam. He is generally interested in issues at the interface of logic, language, reasoning, and cognition. As particular areas of research, he works mainly in philosophical logic, philosophy of language, semantics and pragmatics, and related areas in philosophy and cognitive sciences. At the moment, he is writing his PhD dissertation on a series of issues concerning vagueness and linguistic communication.Lucian is visiting CSMN for the 2011-2012 academic year. He can be found in room 613.
Thomas Hodgson
Thomas is a PhD student in philosophy at the University of St Andrews and a member of the Arché research centre. He works on the philosophy of language and in particular on the metaphysics of content, semantics and pragmatics. He is writing his thesis on theories of propositions and propositional attitudes.
